How to Join NARRTC!

We invite all NIDRR-funded projects to join or renew membership in NARRTC. The mission of NARRTC is to promote the full inclusion of persons with disabilities in American life through applied research, training, technical assistance, knowledge translation, development and demonstration activities. The Association values excellence in conducting research to solve issues of disability and service delivery, and in developing evidence-based products that make a difference in the lives of persons with disabilities.

NARRTC membership provides the opportunity for NIDRR-funded grantees to work together to make a positive difference in the lives of persons with disabilities. The Association was founded over 30 years ago as the National Association of Rehabilitation Research and Training Centers (RRTCs). The Association’s current name is the acronym NARRTC, which reflects that membership has expanded to include ALL NIDDR-funded projects. Dues are used to support association activities, many of which are described in the NARRTC brochure.

Annual Dues are based on a project’s budget for the period January through December 2012. To encourage all NIDRR-funded projects at an institution to join, NARRTC offers reduced dues to institutions with multiple NIDRR-funded projects when they join as a group: 10% for 2 projects, 20% for 3 projects, or 30% for 4 or more projects. In addition, dues can be pro-rated for projects starting or ending during 2012 (see “NARRTC Dues Structure for 2012”).

To join or renew your membership with NARRTC, please contact Nancy Arnold, PhD, NARRTC Treasurer at 406-243-2469 or nancy@ruralinstitute.umt.edu, or Joann Starks, NARRTC Membership Chair at 800-476-6861, ext. 6557 or joann.starks@sedl.org.
