Call for Papers Closed

NARRTC is pleased to announce a Call for Papers for its 2012 Annual Conference. All NIDRR grantees are invited to submit a paper and present at the upcoming conference. Presentations can be based on new evidence and insights gained through your NIDRR grant work.

Advancing and Sustaining Research in Disability and Rehabilitation
Date: April 26 - April 27, 2012
Location: Hilton Alexandria Old Town, VA
Format: Plenary and Platform Sessions

Proposals will be accepted for 15 minute presentations as part of moderated platforms. Each presentation should include 10 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes for question and answer. Proposals for 60 or 90 minute symposia will also be considered. Please review the following for details about the annual conference and the process for applying to present.

Call for Papers and Presentations to All NIDRR Grantees: Closed

We are pleased to seek submissions on any content/topic relevant to the NIDRR research community. Some examples of content areas are listed below. [NOTE: THESE ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS]

Developing new knowledge

  • New methods in quantitative or qualitative data analysis
  • Rigor and Relevance of Disability Research Evidence
  • Systematic Reviews including Meta-Analysis of Disability and Rehabilitation Research
  • Methodological issues in conducting systematic reviews, meta-analyses, etc.
  • Focus on benefits and limitations of various research designs such as RCT, natural history, single subject design.
  • Applications of technology as innovations to research methods.
  • Other innovative topics

Bridging science and practice

  • Knowledge Translation of disability and rehabilitation research to practice, consumers, and policy
  • Innovations in Disability Training Methods
  • Applications of technology to the needs of people with disabilities
  • Innovations in reaching beyond the disability community - employers, educators, legislators
  • Other innovative topics

Note: NARRTC will accept online submissions for the 2012 annual conference. Please be sure to review all of the information and instructions regarding submissions for papers and presentations.
