- Did you publish a research paper funded by a NIDILRR project in 2024?
- If so, can you spend a minute to find a copy and email it?
- If yes, then we are very excited to accept your submission for the annual Best Paper Award – it’s that easy!
NARRTC will be announcing and distributing the call for submissions for the annual Best Paper Award, to be presented at the Annual NARRTC Conference in April 22-23. This is the 18th year that NARRTC has offered researchers this opportunity to showcase their work.
The submission deadline is January 6th, 2025. Please send an electronic copy of your article to Allen Heinemann, Chair of the NARRTC Research Committee at sv282@cornell.edu.
Submissions will be reviewed by Research Committee members using methodological guidelines to judge the rigor and quality of the research. Three finalists will be selected to present their research during a “Best Paper Panel” session at the conference. Registration fees will be waived for each of the three finalists, and they will also receive an honorarium. The winner will be announced during the Awards Ceremony at the conference.
If you submit a manuscript, please ensure it adheres to the following criteria:
-
- Acknowledges NIDILRR as the funding source.
- Has been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Has been published in the calendar year 2024 (online first acceptable).
- Reports on research that has received most of its funding from NIDILRR.
- Qualitative, quantitative studies, clinical trials, meta-analyses, systematic reviews, and secondary analyses are all acceptable, however, literature reviews are not eligible.
- We are only able to consider one Best Paper nomination per research project.
The winner must be a NARRTC member. If the winner is not a member at the time of application, they must become a member before receiving the award. (See the Bylaws for membership criteria.)
On behalf of the NARRTC Executive Committee we want to thank NIDILRR and the grantees for their work and for considering this opportunity to submit an article.
The list of past Best Paper winners is posted on the NARRTC website: narrtc.org/awards/bestpaper_past.php.
