2024 Call for Papers and Posters

It is time to submit your presentation proposals for the upcoming 2024 NARRTC Conference on May 21st and 22nd in Old Town Alexandria, VA.

Our conference theme this year Engaging the community: Building capacity through NIDILRR projects and partnerships reflects NIDILRR’s commitment to disability-led research initiatives.  We want to hear how your projects have included disability voices and diverse groups. We want to know how your research dismantles ableism and builds equity for all.

Key Dates:

  • Submissions due: December 15, 2023
  • Notifications by: February 15, 2024

Submission:

Proposal abstracts can be submitted for three formats:

  • Individual oral presentation (15 -20 minutes)
  • Poster presentation (presented during the evening poster reception)
    • Great for fellows and young investigators!
    • Best student poster will receive an award!
  • Panel presentation (60 minutes)
    • Pre-organized panel of up to 3 presenters on a similar topic

Proposal review:

NARRTC review committee members will prioritize proposals related to the conference theme. As always, we are particularly interested in submissions that focus on the future of disability-related research, policy and/or advocacy efforts in relation to the three domains of NIDILRR’s research and development agenda:

  1. Health and Function
  2. Employment
  3. Community Living and Participation.
