2025 Call for Papers and Posters

Greetings NIDILRR Grantees,

It is time to submit your presentation proposals for the upcoming 2025 NARRTC Conference on April 22nd – 23rd in Old Town Alexandria, VA.

Our conference theme this year Minding our Methods: Enhancing Community, Health, and Employment Outcomes with People with Disabilities builds on NIDILRR’s Long-Range Plan and commitment to rigorous disability-led research initiatives. We want to know how you have adapted your research, development, and measurement methods given the changing nature of U.S. demographics, environments (in vivo and virtual), ideologies, laws and regulations, and the interactions between them.

Proposal review:

NARRTC review committee members will prioritize proposals related to the conference theme. As always, we are particularly interested in submissions that focus on the future of disability-related research, policy and/or advocacy efforts in relation to the three domains of NIDILRR’s research and development agenda:

  1. Health and Function
  2. Employment
  3. Community Living and Participation.

Key Dates:

  • Submissions due: November 15, 2024
  • Notifications by: January 20, 2025

Submission:

A maximum of two proposal abstracts per lead presenter can be submitted in one of the following three formats:

  • Individual oral presentation (15 minutes)
    • Accepted presentations will be grouped according to topic
  • Poster presentation (presented during the evening poster reception)
    • Great for fellows and young investigators!
    • Best student poster will receive an award!
  • Panel presentation (60 minutes)
    • Pre-organized panel of up to 3 presenters on a similar topic
